Witches Night Out

It's that time again for the Witches Night Out at Gardner Village. This will be our third year in a row going. Every year my friend Lindsey and I try to think of unique witch costumes that no one there will have. This year we decided to go with duct tape tops.

Lindsey's Little sister Holly and her sister-in-law came with us as well.

They have the funniest witch decorations all over.

Crazy guys on stilts

Aren't these costumes awesome?

We have so much fun every year we go. It's something we look forward to every Halloween. Here is a picture of the first two years that we went.

4 Year Anniversary!

Today Brandon and I are celebrating 4 years of marriage! Since our anniversary fell on a Wednesday we decided to celebrate it last Saturday. I think I have mentioned before that Brandon and I trade off planning both our anniversary and Valentine's Day. This year was my turn to plan the anniversary. I had no idea what to do, especially since owning a home takes a ton of your money. Anyway I ended up just doing stuff close by.

We started off Saturday morning by making breakfast together. I surprised Brandon with a book I made on shutterfly that goes through from the time we were dating until now. It turned out really good considering I made the book back when I had my tonsils removed, and was on loratab.

Later that evening, I surprised him with dinner at the Timbermine! We both LOVE to eat there. These are just some pictures of us goofing around waiting for the restaurant to open.

Brandon and I have been trying really hard not to eat out as much, and didn't eat out once in September, so we figured we would kind of splurge and go all out on this meal.

They had Shirley Temple one of my favorite drinks!

Not sure how I'm going to finish this 22 oz steak. Especially after eating three pieces of bread, and a salad.

Brandon had the 32 oz Porterhouse steak. And.......

YES he finished the WHOLE thing! That's my man!

After dinner I needed to waste some time so we drove up that canyon right there to look at all the pretty colors, and then we stopped in at Rainbow Gardens. I love this place. They have some of the cutest things.

After we were done there we finally headed to the last stop of the night. Every year since we started dating Brandon would always tell me we needed to go see "Thriller" that the Odyssey Dance Theater puts on.

He had been a few times and loved it. So I bought tickets when they first went on sale. I got us awesome seats. Third row right in the middle. Brandon had no idea what we were doing even when we were walking into the theater at Weber. He finally figured it out and was really excited. I have to admit the show was awesome, and I really want to see it again. Here is a picture I attempted to take as a dancer was walking around before the show.

One of my favorite parts of the show was the Ghostbuster dance. And the reason for that is Gev from So You Think You Can Dance was that character. He is such an awesome dancer!

Here is a link to a youtube video of what Thriller is all about for those who are interested.

Ok so the link doesn't want to work but you can youtube Dance Odyssey Thriller. The one that is 3:20 is the one to watch.

Brandon and I had an awesome anniversary, and just enjoyed being able to be together. Next year will be five years which is just crazy. I'm glad that Brandon will have to plan that one.

Hunting Season

Every year at this time like many people, Brandon's family heads up to Flaming Gorge to go hunting. Everyone was really excited to go this year since last year everyone had so much going on that no one was able to go hunting. Brandon goes up with his family, and some of his neighbors that he grew up with. Most of the girls just stay home, except for Brandon's sister Kendelle, who is one of the biggest hunters of all! I tell Brandon every year that I will go up with him one of these times, but I will not be there when he shoots the deer. It would just make me feel bad. He reminds me that I promised him every year, so I may just have to go in the next year or two. Here are a few pictures that Brandon took while he was hunting.

Gotta Love Flaming Gorge!

Brandon's Awesome tent that his Grandpa let him borrow.

Brandon's dad drove his big truck that he hauls cars back and forth from different car dealers!

A few of the mighty hunters!

On a side note I have to tell everyone this because I think it is super funny. When Brandon and I decided to get married in the middle of October, we were told by his dad how dumb of an idea that was because it was hunting season! That obviously didn't stop us.

So far our anniversary hasn't caused any problems with hunting season and Brandon is still able to go! We will be celebrating our 4 year anniversary this weekend, I can't wait!
