Trease Family Reunion

This weekend we went to Brandon's family reunion. We went up Friday night and stayed over until Saturday afternoon. It was at Buenaventura in Ogden, it is just a small camp ground right by the Ogden River. It was a lot of fun. They had all sorts of activities for everyone to do and lots of really good food! We even dragged our friend Lindsey Watson with us who just got back from a mission. She was like another daughter to Brandon's parents and they had not seen her since she returned home from her mission. The only bad part about the time we spent there was that we were surrounded by cotton trees, and oh man we were all sneezing like crazy. It seriously looked like there was snow all over the ground. But oh well it was still lots of fun.

Happy Father's Day!

We just wanted to wish all the fathers out there a Happy Father's Day, especially our dad's Bill Hinds and Larry Barnedt. Neither of us could have asked for a better dad. Both of them have taught us so much and we appreciate it more than they will ever know. We went to Brandon's Grandparents for his Dad and we had some amazing home made pizza by his dad. This time around he made a stuff crusted pizza that was delicious, just one thing to know if you eat this pizza make sure to chew it good before you swallow and don't drink water right after. Brandon decided to have a big gulp of water as he swallowed the pizza crust and it expanded in his throat, it wasn't good. But luckily Larry was there to help him through it!!! We had dinner at my parents house for my dad. We watched Tiger make that last putt to send it into a tie breaker tomorrow, it was a lot of fun! We just want our dad's to know how much we love them and everything they do for us! Thanks Bill and Larry! We LOVE you!

Lindsey's Home!

So this evening Brandon and I went to the Airport to welcome home our friend Lindsey Watson. About half her family was there. Which was still a lot she has a huge family. While she was gone 8 new nieces and nephews were born. Her parents actually went over to London to pick her up. They left at 10 am London time to all come home today and didn't get home until 6:40 our time so they were all pretty exhausted. When she came down the escalator and saw all of us she lost it and started crying, I was fighting back the tears and I'm actually very proud of myself I didn't even cry, I was so happy to see her I couldn't cry. I had to keep making fun of her because her English accent would kick in it was pretty funny. It was so awesome to see her and I can't wait to hang out and really be able to talk so we can catch up on things. I was so nervous today that it would just be awkward but it wasn't at all it was like she never left!

Golfing In The Rain

So yesterday June 4, 2008 my Grandma Lavoyle and I played in a golf tournament out at Davis Golf Course. It was a state two man best ball. When we got out there it started raining so we ended up buying a cover that covered our golf cart so that kept the rain off our seats and kept us a little warmer. We started at 8:00 am sharp. It was a shot gun start and we started on #13 which is actually one of the hardest holes. I did horrible on that hole but my grandma saved us with a Bogey so we were off to a good start. We get to the next hole and when I tee'd off the rain picks up and I'm completely drenched and then it starts hailing. When we were putting a sheet of lightning flashed right above us. So they called all of us in until the lightning stopped. They sent us out about 15 minutes later still pouring rain. I was having the hardest time holding onto my club, and trying to keep my hands warm. My grandma and I were playing pretty good Bogey golf so not bad considering the conditions. We finished 7 holes and they called us in again because the rain got so bad you couldn't hardly see your ball and the greens had puddles all over them. So they had us come in and eat lunch. I wanted to stay playing because I knew they would send us back out and I was having a hard time finding a rhythm because we kept coming in and going out. A lot of the ladies wanted to go home and thought that it wasn't playable out there. I agreed with the pro Brad Stone who came in to talk to all of us and said if it were the men playing in a tournament they would not be coming in right now. So he told all the ladies to suck it up and after lunch we went back out. So after being freezing cold and then warming up both my grandma and I got really stiff and couldn't play very well and it was all down hill from there, we had no chance of winning after going back out for the second time. So the weather kind of made everything a bummer but it sure was a fun experience. And I just love playing golf with my grandma we have a good time together! We may just have to give it a try next year! I just wished I had a picture of my grandma and I after we finished, we were completely wet from head to toe, and my grandma was not happy that her hair looked the way it did!

I'm so excited for next Friday, June 6th. My best friend Lindsey Watson will be back from her mission. She has been serving in the London, England Mission. The past year and a half has had it's slow moments but has actually gone by faster than I thought it would. My friend Lindsey and I met our 7th grade year and have been friends ever since. Something kind of funny about us is when we met neither of us wanted to be friends with each other, both of us had big glasses and braces and thought that each other was the biggest nerd, but some how we became inseparable. In high school we even drove the same car, we both drove Mercury Topaz's and called ourselves the topaz twins. It is going to be a blast having her back. I can not wait it's hard after you get married you lose the friendship that you have with a lot of your girlfriends but after I got married our friendship never changed. It will be fun sharing the things that have happened the past year and a half with each other, although they are completely different but it will be fun to hear about her mission i just hope she can stand to listen to me talk about marriage! Her mom told Brandon that he may lose his wife for a while, but don't worry I wouldn't ever leave my cute hubbie out, but it will be awesome having some one to come shopping with me!
