How I Golfed!

Yesterday was the last day of the Women's State Am at Thanksgiving Point. It was a great experience, unlike any golf experience I have ever had. I think both my mom and I were glad to be done, we both were really exhausted. I had such a great time and can't wait to play again next year. I wished I could have played better, but considering this was my first big tournament and I hadn't ever played the course I did alright. My biggest problems were playing both the front and back nine together. I would play really well on one side, then completely blow it on the next side. And my other problem was staying out of the sand traps that were much much taller than I was. It was basically a blind shot out of there every time. I had a blast and met some really fun ladies, and got to know the head ladies of the Utah State Women's Golf Association who all are encouraging me to come back again. I definitely encourage anyone looking for a challenging golf course to try Thanksgiving Point. Besides being difficult it really is a gorgeous course. I'm going to go play the course again away from the tournament to see what it's like without all the nerves. I was really excited for my friend Natalie Stone, she won the whole tournament. My mom and I were able to walk with her on a few holes. She is an incredible golfer and deserves this, she has put a lot of time and practice into her game to perfect it. I also had a worker at the golf course ask me if I will ever play in the championship flight, and I said cha you know it, he laughed at me I just thought to myself man I'm a geek. But one of these years I plan on making it into the top of my flight!
